Deeeds.org News & Discussions. / An Introduction to Deeedz.org - Early Alpha.
Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read what we have to say in this forum, and we hope you will join us. It is very early, but we are starting somewhere. I am the founder and architect, i am a completely average man who is 48 years old and living in Norway.
I will introduce the idea with a quote under, why this exist and what these first small steps is aiming for. The extra "e" in Deeedz though can stand for several things - "ethical" and "empathy", but i am sure there are many more you can use. :)

The world forgot how to share.
We built Deeedz to remind it.

This is where it all started, with an idea a few years ago, and spending a lot of time observing the world as it is right now, but never really accepting a lot of how society works these days. You can see the symptoms everywhere if you look with a different filter, but it is also hard as we are all completely marinated in it.

We aren’t a party, a faith, or a faction, and we are apolitical. We take no sides except the side of human beings.
Whether you come from the peaks of the Himalayas, the steppes of Mongolia, the forests of the Congo, or a quiet northern town in the arctic — you belong here. The idea itself is not new - simple random acts of kindness, or paying it forward if you will, it is the implementation that has the secret sauce so to speak.
Deeedz is simple: one act of help at a time, freely given.

We don’t measure worth by wealth, belief, or background.
Every single person out there has value, no matter what they belive in, where they come from. We believe in the intention itself. We measure worth  by what we offer when no one is counting.

The old systems still chase endless growth, hoovering what little we have left.
We aim to build something slower, saner — a network of reciprocity, a commons of care, ingrained.
You don’t need to vote for anyone, convert to anything, or prove that you deserve to stand with us.
You just show up, as you are, and share what you can. We do not care what you believe in as long as you treat people with some decency.
Because when the noise fades, what will remain is the quiet courage of those who kept giving.
To rebuild hope, we must become the force we were taught to wait for.
This is the most poignant aspect of what we founders believe in, the more modern we get, the more we expect and hope that something external will come to save the day, but the governments mostly do not care (No matter the party alignment), and the NGOs are swamped. We hope to solve that.

Things we’ve learned to accept
(but shouldn’t have to)
* That loneliness is normal in a connected world - Think about it - Strange yes?
* That kindness needs an audience to count - Influencers, likes, and needing to go viral.
* That attention is a product to be sold back to us - The product is mostly just you.
* That “growth” can mean the same people getting poorer - When the numbers always must go up, the foundation for growth   erodes every year.
* That help is a transaction, not a reflex - Sad, but true.
* That doing nothing about suffering is just “realism.” - Resignation/depression is an accepted state of being. I want mine.

(Pause. Breathe. Remember what’s real. Observe with a clean filter, there is a reason why you feel off.)

We will share a lot more in more posts as we have a lot written down behind the curtain, but in reality, we hope to start a movement. We have applied to work with OpenCollective Europe as a first start before we connect it all together.
