It is a good question that needs a proper answer. Those who offer a need cannot count on professional paid services, or such quality even if the people doing the deeds are professional and would like to volunteer. There is always a risk in all tasks.
If such things do occur, the one offering is not going to be held accountable unless the task was perform with malice, in such case there will be a dispute and the one doing the deed will receive negative karma.

Before the task is performed, both the one needing and offering has to accept on both their ends that this is not a professional or paid service that is being performed, and that if the needer is in need of professional help, such should be bought in the professional market.
The donated money in the pool will not be used to reimburse someone, we would encourage that the needer will have proper insurance in such case bought on the professional market :) You accept the service performed as is basically, but both parties need to agree in a verified way in the platform on the task before it is performed.

It sounds great that you are organizing parties and gatherings, that sounds very rewarding. What kind of a project would you have in mind?
We are busy on the app and features, slowly, but hopefully something will be up in alpha version in not too long :)

The idea is to protect from grifting the system. There will be people trying to game it by harvesting either karma, or create fake needs in order to get money, which is why we think this might stop such behaviour. Performed deeedz will have a timestamped and geolocated audit trail in the profiles and a measure of what kind of resources that has been used and commanded over time as well - including reoccuring people that has been helped or offered, and this is unforunately due to that not all people are created the same. What we try to accomplish is to use what is already available which is also much more environmentally friendly, because in reality, most of the western world live in excess of everything, we think the distribution is the problem. As an example, i have an unopened 15 meter long garden hose still in plastic that i bought last year but have not had a need to use, i am sure that someone locally can get a use of it. 

Deeedz really spawned from realizing that the only fair way to change how things are is to use time as the currency, but we also know that money, services and goods is an integral part of how life works. We aim to use excess resources, goods that is considered waste - donated and pledged goods and reroute them where they need to go, but we also understand that sometimes money is needed to complete a need or task.

When it comes to money, there will be two lanes of donations. One lane to Deedz itself, to help pay keeping the lights on, and the second one to the pool or community where resources can be asked for, this is the same lane where everyone can pledge goods.
All donors will receive micro-receits on where this money is spent. For example:

The pool of resources or money is separate from Deeedz itself also, and that is why we want micro-receipts so that the usage is completely transparent for everyone, and this will be visible in the app itself
As for the Deeedz lights on donations, any donation will be spent on keeping the system working, rewarding staff like moderators etc when possible, and to donate ourselves into the pool if that will be possible.

Correct :)

This is not replacing any welfare programs governments are involved in, or financial aid etc, that is outside of the idea itself. If there are excess goods people, business or others donate that can be pledged for use, this is what we can draw from. Monetary aid also, but the need has to be verified by two high-ranking people that is outside the local location if there are resources in the pool to draw from that solves an important need, but it is not a welfare system. 
I am not a carpenter, but i can fix someones computer for free, but i might need help trimming my hedge because my physical ability is not great. (and that part is true)
In return we get karma points from the system,verified tasks that has been completed where the "needer" and "deeder" sign off on a completed task with a QR code - A needer can also get negative karma if the task is much larger or different than what has been asked for, that is why a verification on a task from both sides before it begins is also important.

Someone malicious who wants only to take from the system without performing any deeds themselves will eventually be shadow banned, meaning, they can view the app but not really use any services except performing a deed to get back into the green zone (positive karma). Disputes will be handled by a minimum of two moderators, not a single person to protect people and the system itself.
Tasks has to be time-stamped though and with a geolocation so that people cannot simply post needs and deeds for each other just to harvest karma.
There is also a difference between what we all can do for each other, i do not expect an older person who is 80 to come mow my yard, and for pensioneers and disabled people, the weight will be different, but of course it has to be verified.

Group tasks can also be performed, but it is not always about who swings the hammer or who is lifting the heaviest goods, someone who brings coffee and hot dogs is equally valued.

Then there are "scouts", people who can identify tasks that needs to be done, community tasks or such, but they might not have the skills or the resources to help, and yet it can still be posted as a need that needs to be solved. Photo uploads will also be a feature for documentation.
Again malicious users who joke or put offensive pictures online will immediately be shadow-banned on first strike.

Non governmental organizations and companies will be invited to join in, to share, receive or pledge resources, and be encouraged to use the platform themselves to expand their own radius of operations. Only ads from companies that pledge resources will be allowed, and users will have the ability to review them in the app.

This is not going to be paid services or offering of such, it is not going to be a marketplace where people buy/sell or trade services or goods in a traditional way. The currency is for the most part time, offering free services to people in real need.  This is the big distinction between what we aim for and what we want to do.

The sums in the demo reflect a small part of the next steps in the current development, a  pool of resources where resources can be requested if it is needed. This is not necessarily going to be money, but we assume it is going to be a part of it.

The demo does not show the whole concept yet where individuals, businesses, NGOs (Non-government organizations) can pledge resources, from a business pledging 50 liters of paint that it wants to donate since it was not the right color a customer asked for as an example. This paint can be requested from a business offering it to a need if a person needing help to paint a home is asking for a deeed. This is also not something Deeedz will keep in their inventory, there is no warehouse or such. These are pledged resources donated to the pool that can be used for the common good of others that might otherwise be wasted.

If you for example would like to offer babysitting services, you can simply offer the hours you would like to do this, or when the app is further developed, look for people who need such services, but the whole concept about Deeedz is not to create a marketplace, it is two things - Helping someone in need, and bringing both communities and people together.

Welcome to the forums Nareen :) I am glad to see you here.

The concept MVP Demo is not complete, it is a work in progress that is being developed that just stores the settings in your current browser session.  There will be a lot of categories and sub-categories where you can search for if anyone is in need for what you are offering. Suggested matches will then show you if there is anyone who needs what you offer.
You can post a deeed, so if someone is in need of what you offer, they can also reach out to you :)

When contact and a match has been initiated, it is up to both to verify that what is needed and offered is in sync, the verification part so it is important that the description is as correct as possible :)
